Football Squad Optimizer

A weekly FPL decision, and what it rests on.

SquadOpt treats Fantasy Premier League as the constrained optimisation problem it is. For each member of one mini-league it starts from that member's own squad and uses CP-SAT to plan the next one, three or five gameweeks: transfers, captain and starting eleven, inside the game's rules. A plan is marked proven only when the solver proved it best for its own objective; otherwise the page says the proof is incomplete. It also keeps a paper squad of its own and publishes its record beside the league mean and the FPL average, bad weeks included.

Who We Are

We met at Antalya Anadolu Lisesi, one of Turkey's most prestigious high schools, and grew close studying for the university entrance exam: two friends held together by a shared goal. The goal has changed; the shape has not. We are here to do the work as well as it can be done, to catch each other's mistakes before they ship, to teach each other what we know, and to enjoy it.

  • An observation becomes an issue, with evidence.
  • A handed-over plan is checked against the code, not believed.
  • Every change says what it did not change.
  • Thresholds are written before the work, never fitted to it.
  • A claim is not a measurement.
